OK let’s be honest; how many of us have watched an HGTV special on celebrity homes? Looked longingly at a People magazine photo spread of Celine Dion’s home? Read an in-depth article on the feng shui behind George Clooney’s house in Architectural Digest? We all do it, and with good reason; these celebrities are using their resources to hire the best interior designers. If you’ve ever wanted to live in a Malibu bungalow or an abode in the Hollywood Hills, we have the perfect solution for you: utilize the time and expertise of the celebrity interior design trends and let 360° Painting bring those colors to your home.
Beloved girl-next-door actress Jennifer Aniston worked with designer Stephen Shadley to simultaneously renovate and conserve the character of a 1970s Beverly Hills home. In an interview with Architectural Digest, Shadley said he used Jen’s buzzwords “Zen” and “Bali” for the inspiration of the design.
Academy Award-winning actor Robert Duvall took a break from his grimy-New York Godfather past and settled in a 250-year-old farm estate in Virginia. While some of his additions are a little unusual for a sprawling farm in the middle of hunt country (for example: Duvall turned the barn into a dance hall where he hosts Tango lessons), many of his and his partner’s design choices are traditional, comfortable for a country estate. Designer Ralph Lauren added the quintessential “Americana” look to this home.
Known for her victorious career on Dancing with the Stars, Julianne Hough is also pursuing a country music and acting career (she most recently starred in a film adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ novel Safe Haven). In an interview with Better Homes & Gardens, she described her Hollywood home as a “safe, special place” that is certainly a comfortable haven, with natural textures, raw wood and plenty of green, in the midst of the Hollywood hustle.
Chip & Joanna Gaines
Chip & Joanna Gaines are the interior designers of their own home. They’re also the successful pair behind HGTV’s wildly popular Fixer Upper, and are arguably the faces behind the “farmhouse chic” aesthetic. Who better to get inspiration from than these two? Their farmhouse home in Waco, Texas takes from the 1800s and took a year and a half to “fix up”. It was worth it! The house now exudes warmth and authenticity. The Gaines have also renovated two other homes in Waco, Texas that they use as rental homes. The all-blue in this photo is a great idea for your study.
Legendary actor Cary Grant cultivated a Palm Springs retreat that hosted some of the most famous people in Hollywood, from Alfred Hitchcock to Grace Kelly. The home is secluded and comfortable; the exterior color scheme a fresh face for this Californian gathering place.
