Rooted in Nature: The Sherwin-Williams 2021 Color of the Year

The Sherwin-Williams 2021 Color of the Year is Urbane Bronze SW 7048. Every year, Sherwin-Williams designates a “Color of The Year” that sets the tone for the year in design and color. The Color of The Year is selected from 45 other carefully curated colors that create the Colormix Forecast.

The Colormix Forecast 2021 consists of four color collections. Dedicated to the rhythm of color and meant to emphasize the balance in our lives and design, the four collections are Sanctuary, Encounter, Continuum, and Tapestry.

Urbane Bronze comes from the Sanctuary collection. Drawing from the healing capabilities of nature to “forge the connection between the modern built environment and the living world,” this collection is inspired by Scandinavian design, wellness, and warm minimalism.

Sherwin-Williams design experts put together a palette of colors that they think would go well with Urbane Bronze. They suggest Modern Gray SW 7632 and Messenger Bag SW 7740, both accompanying members of the Sanctuary palette.

Urbane Bronze is the perfect opportunity to introduce Scandinavian design elements, like comfort and minimalism, to your home. When you add the rich, natural color to your walls, you elevate your room to a warm but sophisticated sanctuary. As shown in the image, wood accents, natural colors, and plants bring out the rich earth tones and create an elegant respite for your family to enjoy this winter.

Whether you use Urbane Bronze to freshen up your cabinets, your living room, or your bedroom, the 2021 Sherwin-Williams Color of The Year creates the comfort and coziness we crave in our homes.
