My connection to home services started early. One of my first jobs was helping my dad as a carpet installer, where I learned something that still guides how we run every paint project today: the quality of the finish is built on the quality of the prep.

Over the last 20+ years, I’ve stayed close to the home services world—working with contractors and homeowners while selling home improvement tools in corporate America. I saw firsthand what homeowners want most from a painting contractor:

My passion is deeply connected to Set Them Free (set-them-free.org), a charity doing important work to fight human trafficking and support survivors. Our business is committed to being a positive force in the community—and we’re grateful to serve customers who care about that too.

A true family business

My family is my “why,” and they’re also part of the journey. My wife, Betsey, works in software professionally and helps manage the day-to-day operations of the business. Our kids—our son (13) and daughter (11)—sometimes join us on estimates and job walks when they’re not in school. We want them to learn what it looks like to build something with integrity, serve customers well, and take pride in doing great work.

Outside of painting

When I’m not working with homeowners and managing projects, you’ll usually find me coaching wrestling at the youth, middle school, and high school levels—or exploring Colorado’s wilderness with my family. Coaching keeps me grounded in discipline, consistency, and leadership—values that show up in how we run our painting projects.
