Our nine-step process defines what happens before, during, and after painting. It also allows us to identify preparation and repair needs before applying the finishing coat.

Exterior projects proceed through these nine steps:

• Consultation: After your free estimate, we discuss paint types, finishes, and color samples based on your goals and the exterior surfaces.
• Property Protection: We cover landscaping, grills, outdoor furniture, and other exterior features with tarps and drop cloths.
• Preliminary Walk-Through: An on-site supervisor reviews the project with you and confirms the agreed scope before work begins.
• Surface Preparation: We remove dirt and mildew with biodegradable detergent or bleach, as appropriate, scrape and sand peeling paint, spot-prime, caulk, apply putty, and secure loose boards, moldings, and protruding nails. We also evaluate rotten or broken wood.
• Window and Fixture Preparation: We protect windows, remove screens when needed, and may remove and replace downspouts, storm windows, or shutters. We communicate any additional costs in advance.
• Repair Evaluation: We discuss minor carpentry repairs that may support the property’s long-term condition. Any extra charges require your approval before work proceeds.
• Painting: Our crew applies the required coats, including the finishing coat, using high-quality products, proven methods, and appropriate safety guidelines.
• Finishing Touches: We remove tools, equipment, and protective materials, then clean the work area thoroughly.
• Final Walk-Through: After our crew completes its inspection, we walk through the project with you, answer questions, and review the finished work.
